I kissed a boy

A seriously huge post is probably long overdue as there's been no mention for yonks about the world as it revolves around us, in any great detail at least. So here goes, although, I should mention that it is merely 8:51 in the morning and I was woken up at 3.30am by the rest of my flat coming back from the pub tour, eliminating any chance of further rest on my part. Ahem,

Tess of the d'Urbervilles has seen a fresh adaptation from Thomas Hardy's incredible novel to the shiny screens of BBC1, or if you're cheap/lazy like me, to the monitors of your laptops using BBC iplayer

Gemma Arterton is in the leading ladies shoes this time around, although it seems to be more for her pretty face rather than acting skills. Of course, I've only seen episode 1 and the occassional sequence of shit editing/directing doesn't help. I like her, I hope she gets feistier. Not that she isn't in Episode 1 but that's just Tess, and Thomas Hardy's great character development. However, is is funny to watch Gemma do the whole thing in a broad Somerset accent.

A confession: when the trailer ran on TV a couple of times, it was Eddie Redmayne that drew me in, simply because he's beautiful. He happens to be a great English actor as well (the whole cast is British, 5 points for the BBC), which helps as he is the 'hero' Angel. Episode 1 was seriously lacking in Angel-ness, but the preview for episode 2 looks hopeful, especially seeing as there are only four hour long episodes in the whole mini series. Either way, Eddie looks great, acts great, generally is great. And he's been a busy boy recently, modeling for Burberry with the likes of Agyness Deyn and Alex Pettifer, and last year's film release, Savage Grace

This film has been a hit at all the major film festivals. Fingers crossed that's an indicator of a good flick, because the line up is pretty good! Based on a real story, Julianne Moore and Eddie Redmayne lead an interesting cast through domestic upheavals, lots of boys kissing each other, everyone sharing a bed and, oh yeah there's a murder too. Trailer looks alright, the real seller for this film is Eddie Redmayne not getting with one, but two hot guys during the film. Therefore, even if it turns out to be shit (I seriously doubt it) there will be enough eye candy to get even the most critical, ADD infuriated film audience through the whole however long it is.

Reviews are already saying that it is a really beautiful film, cinematography wise. Amazing footage, great cast and the 'based on a true story of murder' factor implies that Savage Grace could be one to watch out for, out on DVD in the not too distant future.

Here are a few pictures from Charlie Hunnam's new project, Sons of Anarchy. It's a TV series, meaning Youtube might be the best place to get a look if you live outside the USA. Oh yeah, that's me. Okay well, Charlie can you please get your arse back to the UK where it belongs? Good, thanks.

Moving on, there's been a lot of model talk recently. The new blog will have regular spots for the new models, but the old models can't be forgotten that easily. Therefore, there will also be a dedicated post to who I consider the supermodels of our time, the spunkalicious ones. i.e. Erin O'connor, Lily Cole, Naomi Campbell, you get the idea. Juice to get you started:

That's a wrap, more because I've got to go to some fire demonstration thing. They blow up cookers and stuff so it shouldn't be too bad, I was watching them out of the kitchen window this morning. Right, back on it tomorrow. I'll leave you with this to enjoy:
