Tuesdeyn

Unless you've been asleep or had your head stuck in a hole for the last year, you will have seen this woman,

gracing the covers of numerous glossy magazines, filling the pages with fierce poses and strutting the catwalk like she was made to be a model. Well, that's because Agyness Deyn was made to be a model. She's leggy; at 5”8 that's not massive, but boy does she work that 5”8 of body. Flat, with sharp angles and dark eyebrows. She is casual, meaningful. Androgynous to the point of extremity, she is a beautiful boy and a desirable girl. Agyness is a tomboy ideal to rival her predecessors of Erin O'Connor et al.

There is little Agyness hasn't done, which for a chippy from Manchester isn't so bad. Agyness strolled into the modelling industry in 2007 at the age of 23, immediately standing out from the ever increasing foreign crowd with cropped white blonde hair, which has now become a signature feature of her look, and a bright personality to match. One of the first big campaigns she did was for Armani, where her androgynous good looks were brought out to model for print ads.

After that, there was no going back and she has now been featured in international campaigns and runway shows, including Burberry (print ads shown in last 2 photos above), House of Holland, Vivienne Westwood, Anna Sui, Paul Smith and New Look. Her covers include Vogue, i-D, Sunday Times, Pop, Grazia, Vogue Italia, Vogue USA and The Observer Woman's supplement. Outside of modelling, Agyness has been featured on the single Who by 5 o'clock heroes and is also in the video. Seeing as she studied music and drama at college in Hull, the fact that she can sing comes as absolutely no surprise and I'm sure some sort of acting career will follow before too long.

In May 2008, Agyness guest edited i-D magazine, which was released as a special collectors edition with six different covers. The issue was great; as a fan of the model, I was chuffed to get a chunky magazine through my door crammed with gorgeous pictures of her and the influential people in her life.

If Agyness was a boy, she would probably be Luke Worrall. The two blonde, British models are friends, and have posed together for countless shots, including being featured as 'influential Londoners' in D&C magazine (top above). Looking spookily alike, it's a pleasure to watch the pair work together and damn, if they ever had children they would be freakishly good looking. Both are signed to British modelling agency Models1 and have seem equal success in their careers as page turners.

At the moment Aggy is taking a break from the hustle and bustle of fashion but no doubt will return with a bang in time for the Spring collections of 2009. She's a one off, and her star dust is going to take a hell of a lot of rubbing off if anyone is ever going to challenge the new face of fashion.

Spread #1

The busiest month in the calendar, the start of a new season. In are thrown the new collections for Winter 2008, and in such style. September sees the continuation of an exciting S&M influenced era of fashion, featuring the dashing Luke Worrall in some rather erotic pieces, Lily Cole back to black in romantic laces, and Jourdan Dun's first cover feature in Witching Hour. The magazines also threw up some interesting articles featuring the familiar faces of author Irvine Welsh and musician Kim Gordon. That's not all either! From the world of film, screen workers Zooey Deschanel and Gael Garcia Bernal play musical chairs, striking a tune with her new musical project and his début in the director's chair. Get clicking, your eyes will thank you for it.

We're talking articles, adverts, covers and fashion photography from i-D, Dazed & Confused and anything else that I pick off the shelf and has something worth the while inside the pages.

This is the best of the month's magazines, spread.

Bonjour

It's Friday night, time to start a new era.

This has been a long time coming, tonight it's finally here and being launched, the new, daily, better than 86% of other things blog that will host posts about the big screen, the small screen, fresh tunes, artists and their pallets, screen workers, page turners, twinks, thinkers, doers, goers, pictures, theories, concepts, web clicks, heel clicks, the ins and outs of everyone and everything that's worth any consideration. Boom. An awful lot to be crammed into daily posts every Monday to Friday during Uni term time. As usual, the blog is aimed at no one and everyone, don't hold back. What comes out of my mouth, or from my fingertips, isn't the point. There is no point really, other than to enjoy life.

Interval

Everyone should be aware that serious blogging requires a soundtrack that blows,

Interval

That's how you look in my head right now. Get to it. Prick up your ears while you're at it, work it out and multi-task. The whole point is for it to me be spurting the jizz at you whenever I decide to post each day, however there will also be plenty of information added to a post from other sources, which will be credited of course. Everything will play along with how I feel, and that varies, on some things, depending on the day and whether I'm sufficiently awake, well fed etc. You should know that

this blog is/will not be suitable for the easily offended, closed minded, obese or right winged

therefore if you are one of these people, please leave or explain yourself and then probably be ejected anyway. THANK YOU.

Spread the love, intelligence, legs, whatever. Like butter and/or spunk. Watch porn, recycle, don't poke fat kids (kick them), face the wall, fuck the Government (not literally, they probably don't taste that good), wear boots, rock hard and whatever you do, enjoy.

Good night.
