However long I sleep for, it always feels an inadequate amount of rest. Perhaps the combination of regular interruptions during the night, may it be vivid dreams, needing a drink or simply waking up and not being able to get back to sleep for over-thinking, and a lack of motivation to generate energy during the day means that I am doomed to have dark bags and tired eyes for the rest of my life.
Onwards,
Ratatouille replaced doing work of any sort this morning. I'd heard mixed responses and my verdict is: positive. Of course,
Disney/Pixar rarely disappoint. However the film wasn't as comical as
Chels suggested it to be, so it's a good thing I was indifferent to the hilarity of the plot line and was more focused on . . . whatever, something else. No disappointment because frankly I had no expectations. The best way to watch
Ratatouille is with the intention of gaining nothing from it.
On a more enthusiastic note,
Eisley have been floating around in my head all day.
Texas has churned out what is most simply phrased as 'audio blossom'; a family of five melodic masterminds. In the same way that blossom is beautiful for such a tiny proportion of the year,
Eisley's haunting lyrics and wavering vocals hold momentary perfection whilst all else thunders around in crushing, clashing passionate music. It's not bad, not bad at all, and the fourth released CD encapsulates the best bits of each one previous.
Combinations draws together stomping drums, harmony and driving force, birthing a true combination of the most heartfelt with the fierce.
To leave on a good note,
